Trojans Trek recently held one of their RSL Queensland sponsored treks in Queensland, which took place between 6 and 11 August. Over 15 veterans, police officers, and first responders had the opportunity to spend time in the Australian wilderness.
These outdoor experiences provide a unique environment for participants to bond, share their experiences, and embark on self-discovery and personal growth.
Treks can be transformative and act as a circuit breaker for the individuals involved, allowing them to connect with nature, with each other, and with themselves in ways that can be restorative. It’s a way to promote mental well-being and address the challenges many veterans, police officers, and first responders face due to their service.
